October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many many many of us have been touched by this disease. Personally, my mother fought breast cancer – and won – not once, but twice. She is one tough lady! It is scary, often curable when caught early, but all too often deadly. It impacts not only the one it has attacked but all the loved ones that fight alongside her … and him – as breast cancer is not a disease of only women.
